Leaving Vietnam, at least for a week.

Transitions

In order to get to Cambodia, you must take at least 2 ferries across various waterways that compose the Mekong Delta.  The Delta is a very complex system.  Many in our group are still processing the view and lifestyles of the locals.  It is a combination of beauty and poverty.
Sara is enjoying the view from the top of the ferry.  The Earth Science background sort of makes it more interesting to her.

People earn money in agriculture.  This is a lotus farmer.  He is growing one of the most useful crops in the region. The seeds are edible. The roots are edible.  The flowers are used during Buddhist ceremonies.

The ferry system is gradually being supplanted by bridges.  However, there are no bridges this year for this particular crossing.
